Globalaw's Business Initiatives provide fora for members in the same practice or industry group to better serve their clients, pursue business opportunities, work together and share best practices. The Initiatives serve as an integral part of the network's growth, provide substantial client service resources for members, and produce specifically-tailored client events. Globalaw's Initiatives include:
Globalaw Corporate Finance initiative provides Globalaw members with a worldwide network of legal (and, indirectly financial and accounting) advisors from whom they can draw the knowledge and expertise necessary to successfully finance and operate their client's ventures globally.
Secondly, it is intended to give Globalaw members the opportunity to cross-sell their services on a worldwide basis, whether those opportunities come in the form of participation in seminars on various securities markets in conjunction with regional and annual Globalaw meetings, or in the form of matching potential financing sources represented by one Globalaw firm with clients of another Globalaw member firm that are searching for funding for their ventures.
Finally, the purpose of the Corporate Finance initiative is to provide a forum where Globalaw members can discuss securities and corporate finance issues arising in their respective jurisdictions and share articles and information on recent legal developments.

As a global network covering the key economic areas of the world, Globalaw firms are ideally placed to deal with issues arising from an increasingly multi-national and transient work force.
Companies employing senior executives, employed in a number of countries, require assistance with global contracts of employment, to ensure that they operate as intended.
Structuring renumeration packages effectively is important. Employee benefits, share options, pension rights and tax treatments need to be understood. Local laws may impact a contract and it is fundamental to know how. Enforceability of restrictive covenants, protection of confidential information and assignment of intellectual property rights created are all fundamental issues.
Getting key employees where clients need them can be another challenge. We have all read about the threat to US business from the strict quota on visas for workers. Being able to employ the right people in the right place or having an alternative strategy in place is a key human resource issue.
The lawyers of Globalaw involved in this issue understand these issues and together with their corporate lawyers are able to offer the full scope of services set out above.

Initiative members take a proactive approach to products liability defense. We provide counsel and litigation services to manufacturers, distributors, and retailers at the local, state, national, and international level.
Our lawyers possess a wide variety of backgrounds, and have extensive experience in the defense of product liability suits, class actions, toxic tort and mass tort cases in many of the most difficult jurisdictions in the United States.
