Beginning of September 2018, GÖHMANN will merge with the Berlin-based law firm HÜLSEN MICHAEL HAUSCHKE SEEWALD (H2MK) under the law firm name GÖHMANN. The well connected Berlin-based law firm H2mK is deeply rooted in the Berlin market and has 16 lawyers, six of which are partners. With the merger, the parties maximise synergies and acquisition effects, especially in construction and real-estate law, as well as in consultancy for public authorities and in complex litigation matters. Through the merger over 110 qualified professionals will be working at the seven GÖHMANN locations.

GÖHMANN Partner Ralf Stötzel, member of the GÖHMANN partners‘ committee adds, “The benefits of the expansion are already clearly visible in the active inter-regional cooperation, including in a major project for the Volkswagen AG. Thus, the integration on a personal level has already begun. This is a carefully prepared evolution of our firm, which was unanimously decided on by the partners‘ meeting.“

“We are certain, that the merger with GÖHMANN holds enormous potential for us, as the competences of both firms seamlessly complement each other,“ says Dr. Karl van Hülsen. “Our decision was preceded by intensive strategic discussions about the development of our firm. The cultural proximity to GÖHMANN was also a decisive factor in the decision on the merger.“
