Apr 2025Globalaw Appoints Ángela López Molina as First Executive Director
Globalaw, a global band one Chambers-ranked leading network of independent law firms, has named Ángela López Molina as its first Executive Director. This strategic appointment marks a significant milestone in Globalaw's growth and organizational development, reinforcing its mission to foster seamless legal collaboration among member firms and assist them in delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions to their clients worldwide.
In this newly created role, López will serve as the organization's chief executive officer, overseeing the strategic vision and leadership, organization management, advocacy and external relationships, marketing and communications strategy, member engagement and development, and financial performance. She will work closely with the Board of Directors, member firms, and external partners to promote Globalaw’s mission and strengthen the organization’s offerings and presence in the international legal landscape.

With over 20 years of international legal experience in Spain and China, López most recently served as a Partner at DS Avocats, General Secretary of the DS Group, and a member of its International Executive Committee. She was also the International Legal Counsel for Grupo San José, a multinational construction company.

Fluent in five languages and a member of the Madrid Bar, López holds a Master's in International and European Law from the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve, a Master's Degree in Law from Universidad Complutense, and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wales.
A recognized leader in the legal field, López was named among the Best Lawyers ranking for Spain in Corporate and M&A Law from 2019-2024, selected as one of the Top 60 Women in the Legal Sector in Iberia by Iberian Lawyer and ranked on Legal 500’s Powerlist of the Most Influential General Counsels in Iberia.

Mar 2025Globalaw Foundation Donates $17,000 to Fields of Joy Foundation & Banco Popular Foundation in San Juan, Puerto Rico
(March 3, 2025 – SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico) - Globalaw, a leading network of independent law firms, announces that its charitable arm, the Globalaw Foundation, has donated $17,000 to the Fields of Joy Foundation and Banco Popular Foundation based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The contributions were presented at the annual Globalaw Americas Meeting (GLARM).
Donating to local charities is a fundamental component of Globalaw’s event programming. Representatives from selected nonprofits are invited to meet and network with Globalaw member firms, enabling them to increase awareness for their organizations and foster continued connections and engagement. A painting by Puerto Rican artist Jorge Zeno was auctioned at GLARM, raising $15,000 for the Globalaw Foundation to support Banco Popular Foundation.
The Banco Popular Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life for Puerto Ricans by promoting access to educational and self-management opportunities that foster excellence, ethics, and civic responsibility. Since 1979, the foundation has invested over $50 million in community impact projects and supported over 300 initiatives focused on education, community development, social investment and disaster response.

Fields of Joy is dedicated to promoting and safeguarding the mental health of children and youth in Puerto Rico. Established in memory of Dr. Joy Lynn Suárez-Kindy, a pioneer in the fight against bullying and cyberbullying, the foundation focuses on education, raising awareness, and eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health. Through various initiatives and collaborations, Fields of Joy strives to enhance the emotional well-being of young people and ensure they have access to the care they need.
