Jun 2025Globalaw Foundation Donates €6,700 to Local Charity During 2025 European, Middle East & Africa Regional Meeting
(June 13, 2025 – Aiya Napa, Cyprus) - Globalaw, a leading network of independent law firms, announces that its charitable arm, the Globalaw Foundation, presented a donation of 6,700€ to Vagoni Agapis during the 2025 Globalaw European, Middle East & Africa Regional Meeting (GLEMEA) held in Aiya Napa, Cyprus. A portion of the donated funds was raised during a silent auction featuring a painting by Athens artist Cornelius Papadimosthenis.
Vagoni Agapis is a Cypriot non-profit that supports families according to their needs, providing food, clothing, financial assistance, and more.
“The Globalaw Foundation chose this organization because it currently provides financial support for six law students in Cyprus and abroad, enabling them to complete their studies by covering accommodation, tuition fees, and living expenses. Without this support, these students would be at risk of dropping out,” said Theodora Chari from Cyprus-based Pelaghias, Christodoulou, Vrachas LLC, the Globalaw member firm that hosted GLEMEA.
Donating to local charities is a fundamental component of Globalaw’s event programming. Representatives from selected nonprofits are also invited to meet and network with Globalaw member firms, enabling them to increase awareness for their organizations and foster continued connections and engagement.

Jun 2025Globalaw Launches Sports Law Taskforce With 22 Participating Member Firms
June 2, 2025 – Globalaw, a leading network of independent law firms, announces the launch of its Sports Law Taskforce, a dedicated advisory group comprising 22 member firms that provide specialized legal counsel and representation for athletes and stakeholders worldwide.
“Legal awareness and protection are critical for professional athletes to safeguard their interests, reduce risks and unlock opportunities,” said Jonathan Cheong, a consultant at Bagus Enrico & Partners and head of the Globalaw Sports Law Taskforce. “Many sports contracts include a cross-border or multijurisdictional angle, and with new issues emerging around factors like image rights, digital media and international sponsorship deals, a trusted global legal network is indispensable to ensure athletes are protected and empowered.”

May 2025Globalaw Foundation Donates $4,500 to Local Charity During 2025 Asia Pacific Regional Meeting
(May 12, 2025 – OSAKA, Japan) - Globalaw, a leading network of independent law firms, announces that its charitable arm, the Globalaw Foundation, has donated $4,500 USD to KOZU GAKUEN (KOZU) during the 2025 Globalaw Asia Pacific Regional Meeting (GLAPRM), which took place in Osaka, Japan, in April.
Founded in 1925, KOZU is a foster home for children who have experienced abuse or poverty or whose parents are unable to care for them. The organization houses over 80 children from 0 to 18 years old.
“We support children living with us in maintaining their dignity, growing up healthy in both mind and body, and becoming independent,” said a KOZU GAKUEN representative. “We promise to make meaningful use of this donation from the Globalaw foundation for the benefit of our children.”
The contribution to KOZU holds special significance for Naoko Nakatsukasa, a Partner at Chuo Sogo LPC, the Globalaw member firm that hosted GLAPRM. Nakatsukasa previously served as a guardian for a woman with a mental impairment whose child was placed under the care of the foster home for 20 years and grew up to become a care worker at a hospital in Osaka.
“KOZU provides safety, stability and a family environment to children who need it most,” said Globalaw President Peter J. Brown. “We are grateful to our members for uniting behind this powerful cause and enabling the Globalaw Foundation to make a transformative difference in the lives of children.”

Globalaw, a global band one Chambers-ranked leading network of independent law firms, has named Ángela López Molina as its first Executive Director. This strategic appointment marks a significant milestone in Globalaw's growth and organizational development, reinforcing its mission to foster seamless legal collaboration among member firms and assist them in delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions to their clients worldwide.
In this newly created role, López will serve as the organization's chief executive officer, overseeing the strategic vision and leadership, organization management, advocacy and external relationships, marketing and communications strategy, member engagement and development, and financial performance. She will work closely with the Board of Directors, member firms, and external partners to promote Globalaw’s mission and strengthen the organization’s offerings and presence in the international legal landscape.

With over 20 years of international legal experience in Spain and China, López most recently served as a Partner at DS Avocats, General Secretary of the DS Group, and a member of its International Executive Committee. She was also the International Legal Counsel for Grupo San José, a multinational construction company.
"I am honored to join Globalaw as its first Executive Director," said López. "I look forward to working with our member firms to further enhance cross-border alliances, develop initiatives that drive member and client engagement, and strengthen Globalaw's position as a premier global legal network."
Fluent in five languages and a member of the Madrid Bar, López holds a Master's in International and European Law from the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve, a Master's Degree in Law from Universidad Complutense, and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wales.
A recognized leader in the legal field, López was named among the Best Lawyers ranking for Spain in Corporate and M&A Law from 2019-2024, selected as one of the Top 60 Women in the Legal Sector in Iberia by Iberian Lawyer and ranked on Legal 500’s Powerlist of the Most Influential General Counsels in Iberia.

(March 3, 2025 – SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico) - Globalaw, a leading network of independent law firms, announces that its charitable arm, the Globalaw Foundation, has donated $17,000 to the Fields of Joy Foundation and Banco Popular Foundation based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The contributions were presented at the annual Globalaw Americas Meeting (GLARM).
Donating to local charities is a fundamental component of Globalaw’s event programming. Representatives from selected nonprofits are invited to meet and network with Globalaw member firms, enabling them to increase awareness for their organizations and foster continued connections and engagement. A painting by Puerto Rican artist Jorge Zeno was auctioned at GLARM, raising $15,000 for the Globalaw Foundation to support Banco Popular Foundation.
The Banco Popular Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life for Puerto Ricans by promoting access to educational and self-management opportunities that foster excellence, ethics, and civic responsibility. Since 1979, the foundation has invested over $50 million in community impact projects and supported over 300 initiatives focused on education, community development, social investment and disaster response.
